AROUND 14,000 Kirklees Council jobs are going under the spotlight to make sure pay levels are fair.
The move is part of a nationally-agreed job evaluation scheme.
The council is writing to all employees explaining proposed process.
The letter has come from chief executive Rob Vincent. He says the council wants an equitable pay structure for all employees - where staff doing similar types of jobs are paid the same rates.
A spokesman said: "The evaluation process will follow national guidelines and protocols agreed at regional level with trade unions."
