A NEW health centre was been officially opened in Waterloo.

Treatment rooms and a minor operations suite are just some of the features patients will benefit from at the £1.5m clinic at Wakefield Road.

The centre is the base for four GPs and provides facilities for health visitors, specialist nursing teams and visiting consultants.

The practice serves some 8,300 patients.

The new centre offers improved patient services and access for disabled people.

Former practice nurse and multiple sclerosis sufferer Judy Tadman - who was forced to retire due to ill health - carried out the official opening of the centre.
