TWO hundred Muslims gathered in Huddersfield yesterday to celebrate their Promised Messiah Day.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association marked the event at its mosque in Lower Fitzwilliam Street.

The aim of the event was to promote greater understanding of the religion.

Ahmadis believe Hadhrat Ahmad, the founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, is the Promised One.
