EXAMINER reader Georgina Tallon can treat herself to something special this year - after winning £2,000 to spend on jewellery.

Georgina, 58, who lives in Waterloo, won vouchers worth £2,000 to spend at JPB Jewellery in Huddersfield in the Examiner's Six Days of Christmas competition.

Georgina was presented with her prize at the Half Moon Street jewellers on Saturday.

She said: "I don't enter competitions all the time. I go through phases.

"I buy the Examiner every day, so when I saw this I thought I might as well collect the tokens.

"But I'm stunned to have won. I actually take my jewellery to JPB for repairs.

"I didn't have that much to take before - but I might do now!"

The JPB Jewellery prize is just the first of six £2,000 prizes which will be given out this week.

Tokens were printed for each day of the week in the Examiner throughout November.

Readers were instructed to collect at least four tokens from a particular day - such as Monday - and send them in to the Examiner.

A random draw has now taken place and winners have been picked for every day of the week.

The prize due to be given away tomorrow is £2,000 in cash.

Wednesday's prize will be £2,000 to spend at Broadbent's Euronics Centre at Swan Lane in Lockwood.

On Thursday, one lucky winner wins £2,000 to spend at Thatcher's Furnishings at Threadneedle Street in Huddersfield.

Friday's prize is £2,000 to spend at Colne Valley Garden Centre at Scar Lane in Milnsbridge.

On Saturday, the final prize will be given away - £2,000 to spend at Beatties department store in Kingsgate.

In addition to the fabulous main prizes, 10 runners up will receive £50 worth of high street vouchers each day.

A list of runners-up will be printed in the Examiner on each day this week.

They can then claim their vouchers from the customer reception at the Examiner offices on Queen Street South.
