MEMBERS of the Pennine Way Foresters marked their group's 25th anniversary with a celebratory dinner.

The dinner was held on Saturday at The Auctioneer restaurant, Brighouse.

The Pennine Way Foresters is a social group, which raises cash for a good cause each year.

It has 1,500 members in Huddersfield and Halifax, who pledge to look after each other.

Only 50 members are active in the group's fundraising, which this year is in aid of the West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust, which aims to build a children's hospice for Kirklees and Calderdale.

The Foresters handed over £7,508 to the charity at the dinner on Saturday.

The cash was raised at a series of raffles and collections over the past 18 months.
