TWENTY-EIGHT workers at a Slaithwaite mill have lost their jobs.
The redundancy notices at Globe Worsted's Slaithwaite mill were issued yesterday.
And more are expected to go on Thursday.
The company, which has been in administration for several weeks, is expected to close completely.
The long-established Colne Valley textile firm employs about 120 people.
But earlier this month workers were told there was only a slim chance of finding a buyer for the business.
Globe Worsted and Kirkheaton-based sister firm Huddersfield Fine Worsted went into administration in August.
Administrators at Leeds-based Bartfields are are believed to be still seeking buyers for HFW where about 140 people are employed.
