GOOD causes in Kirklees and Calderdale have received almost £30,000 in Lottery grants.
Dalton-based Cardinals Wheelchair Sports Clubgained £9,984, the Brighouse Old People’s Welfare Committee won £10,000 and Carr Green Junior Infant and Nursery School, Rastrick, received £8,535.
The Cardinals will use the award to promote wheelchair basketball, athletics and associated sports in Kirklees schools.
The welfare club will use the cash to improve its premises, while Carr Green School will spend the money on permanent art installations from the community.
