LONG-serving domestic June Slater has retired after more than 32 years in local hospitals.
Mrs Slater, from Crosland Moor, has worked the last 20 years on the intensive care unit at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.
Colleagues in the domestic department organised a party on the day of her 60th birthday and there were also celebrations on her last day at work.
Mrs Slater has a son and daughter, two stepdaughters and two stepsons, and grandchildren.
She said: “The job has changed over the years and has become much more in-depth. I have enjoyed being part of the team.”
Sister Tina MacNab said: “June is an integral part of the ICU team helping us to maintain the high standards we have on the unit. She has been with us for a long number of years and will be missed.”
