LOCAL community projects have been awarded over £40,000 by Kirklees grassroots panel.
Grants awarded ranged from £250 to Huddersfield Disabled Supporters Club to £5000 to the REACH project, which provides a drop-in service to support young people from disadvantaged families.
Grassroots Grants is a national programme worth £130 million that aims to revitalise the community sector through investment.
The scheme is being managed by Calderdale Community Foundation in partnership with Voluntary Action Kirklees and seeks to engage the community on a grassroots level.
