HONLEY Infant School pupils have raised £700 to help children with leprosy.

The children asked friends and families to donate the money to Lepra, the charity which helps leprosy sufferers.

They made the requests following a visit to the school by Lepra's Huddersfield area organiser Brenda Cosslett.

She played games with the children and talked to them about developing countries and the effects of leprosy.

She is pictured with pupils when she returned to the school on Monday to collect the cash they had raised.

She said: "They did wonderfully."
