EIGHT men have been arrested by officers targeting suspected drug dealers in Leeds.

Separate operations led to the arrests in Harehills, Beeston and Gipton, a West Yorkshire Police spokesman said.

Cash and drugs paraphernalia were seized in addition to significant amounts of what is believed to be heroin and crack cocaine.

The men, aged between 14 and 31, were arrested on suspicion of drugs trafficking offences.

Seven have been bailed pending the outcome of forensic tests, and the eighth man was given an adult caution.
