A WOMAN of 89 was attacked by two thugs in Almondbury.
She was grabbed and robbed in a snicket in a frightening attack while walking close to home.
The attack happened about noon on Tuesday as the victim walked down Fleminghouse Lane.
She turned on to a snicket between numbers 141 and 143, leading to Mountfield Road and past St Helen’s church.
One of the men grabbed the victim’s arms while the second went through her coat pocket, stealing around £100 in cash.
The suspects then ran off towards Fleminghouse Lane.
The victim was able to go back home and contact her son, who in turn called the police.
The woman was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary for a check-up but released shortly afterwards.
The two suspects were described as being white men, one wearing brown bottoms and the second grey or black bottoms.
