A 90-year-old woman was robbed by two men at her shop in Dewsbury yesterday (Wed).

The incident occurred between 12.40pm and 12.48pm on Leeds Road.

Two suspects entered the shop and demanded money from the victim.

They went behind the counter and pushed her over.

She fell back on a chair before the men fled with money.

The first suspect is described as a white man, 19-21 years-old, slim to medium build, 5ft 7ins tall, with blonde hair.

He was wearing a dark jacket and a beanie hat with his face covered.

The second suspect was also a white man, 19 - 21 years-old, slim to medium build, blond hair and his face covered. He was wearing a navy or dark jacket and a hat.

Sgt Steven Hinchcliffe, from Dewsbury Partnership Working Area, said: “This was an incredibly distressing incident for this elderly lady who has run this shop for many years.

“Thankfully she was uninjured.

“I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident who saw these suspects or noticed anything suspicious to contact the police to help with our investigation.
