KIDS will benefit from four new play areas.
Kirklees Council’s Cabinet yesterday approved £950,000 of lottery funding.
Multi-use game areas will be developed at Royds Park in Cleckheaton, Clayton West, Scissett School and Knowl Park in Mirfield. Some £120,000 will be spent at each site.
Inclusive play equipment - which allows children with and without disabilities to play together - will be installed at Greenhead Park, Wilton Park in Batley and Sands Rec in Holmfirth.
Some £290,000 will go towards mobile play facilities for children in deprived parts of Kirklees.
