AN MP who was invited to see how an office worker did her job returned the favour.

Barry Sheerman visited Maureen Foster at her job as a work training mentor with the Training Network Group in Leeds.

When the MP saw the results that mentoring can achieve, he invited Maureen and her Leeds co-worker Janette Waterhouse to shadow him for two days in London.

Maureen, who provides mentoring for individuals with the aim of overcoming the barriers to work, found herself watching MPs battle it out on Prime Minister's Question Time.

Maureen said the experience was unforgettable.

She sat in on a meeting with PM Tony Blair, and was present when Jack Straw announced an inquiry into the war on Iraq.

She said: "Barry is never still. He is constantly working.

"I don't think I have ever seen anyone walk so fast."
