TWO men suspected of stealing stone from a graveyard were stopped by police in their getaway vehicle - a three-wheeler Reliant Rialto.

The men were seen loading ornamental stone edgings into the car at a cemetery at Pole Gate at Pole Moor at 2.20pm yesterday. Police stopped the hand-painted red Reliant in Woodhead Road, Honley, an hour later.

A quantity of stone was recovered from the vehicle.

Two Barnsley men, aged 58 and 41, were arrested and later released on bail.
