YOUNG artists from Huddersfield are 'wheely great' - and that's official.
Alice Hodge and Tierney Womersley put pen to paper to successfully capture their yellow school buses.
Alice, who goes to Old Earth Junior and Infant School, Elland, and Tierney, a pupil at Moorlands Primary School at Mount, were among hundreds who travel on Metro's yellow buses who took part in a competition to make a picture of a yellow bus to be included in a special My Bus calendar.
It features pictures of children either being taken to school or on a dream field trip on a yellow bus.
Twelve winning pictures were chosen to feature in the calendar. They all received a My Bus goodie bag.
"It's been a pleasure to see the many marvellous paintings that the pupils have produced," said Metro chairman Clr Stanley King.
"All the pupils put a lot of time and effort into producing some really imaginative pictures.
"I would like to thank everyone who took part in the competition and to wish all our My Bus passengers a very happy 2007."
All the winning pictures can be found at the Metro website www.wymetro. com, along with a special competition to win one of six copies of the exclusive My Bus calendar.
