A NEW access point for young people will be launched in Meltham on Saturday.

Young people from Meltham and the surrounding area will be able to get advice, information and guidance on a whole range of issues at the new Connexions Access Point.

The access point will be run by Kirklees Council's Young People's Service (YPS) and will also be their team base.

It will be in the old NHS clinic in the Carlile Institute in Huddersfield Road, next door to the library.

There will be Connexions personal advisers and YPS teams covering the Dearne, Colne and Holme Valleys.

Opening times for the new centre will be discussed on Saturday

Anyone who would like further information about the access point and YPS programmes generally should ring 01484 222690.
