POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a car crashed into a tree in Liversedge.
The accident was at Halifax Road, at the junction with First Avenue, in Hightown, Liversedge, at 3.30am on Sunday.
A silver Peugeot 106 crashed into a tree.
A passenger, a 17- year-old girl from Cleckheaton, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Dewsbury District Hospital.
Anyone with information is asked to ring police on 01924 421046.
A 23-year-old man from Liversedge arrested in connection with the incident was bailed pending further inquiries.
