HUDDERSFIELD accountants have been given the chance to win £2,000 for charity.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants is urging members who undertake voluntary work to take part in the Everybody Counts Awards.

Any member of the institute who is involved in voluntary work can apply for cash to benefit their favourite good cause.

Four winners will each receive £2,000 for the charity or community project with which they have been working.

The deadline for entry is Friday, May 7.

Everybody Counts is run by the institute to encourage voluntary work by its members.

The awards are split into four categories – for members under 35, members in business, members in practice and retired members.

The winner of each category is selected on the basis of the time, level of involvement and commitment they have devoted to the charity or project as well as the difference their work has made.

The winner will be announced at an awards night on July 15 in London.

Members can enter at www.icaew.com or by contacting Jade Peters on 020 79208692 for an application pack.
