FOOTBALL ace Billy Wingrove continued to wow audiences during his three day visit to Huddersfield last week, and Saturday was no exception.

The football freestyler left crowds of people awestruck as he attempting to break his personal record of more than 9,000 kick-ups at the Kingsgate shopping centre on Saturday morning.

Unfortunately, Billy’s efforts came to an end after an amazing 1 hour 25 minutes of keeping the ball up in the air, and he was 1,000 short of his record.

Billy said: “I was disappointed that I didn’t quite manage to break my record.

“It’s always hard falling at the last hurdle, but because there was such a big crowd cheering me on I was also doing my usual tricks while doing the kick-ups as well to keep them entertained.

“I guess I made it much harder for myself, but it was good fun and the crowd were amazing.”

Billy headed from there to the Galpharm Stadium to perform at half-time at Huddersfield’s Town game against Port Vale.

He added: “I just had time to grab some quick lunch, and then I headed straight to the Galpharm. I’m pretty tired but enjoying it all the same.”

Billy, 24, has been employed by Premiership club Tottenham Hotspur for the past four years.

He was in Huddersfield for the launch of a new football academy, Legends Academy of Football,
