A TEACHER who spent almost 20 years at a Calderdale school has been disciplined after watching pornography.
Bernard Bertola had been using computers at Hipperholme and Lightcliffe High School.
A General Teaching Council inquiry was told he was viewing sites in which women were covered in beans, spaghetti, pies and trifles.
Bertola, who was head of IT at the school, was given a two-year conditional registration. It means he can continue to work as a teacher if he wishes, but must abide by strict conditions.
Bertola, who left the school in 2003, told the hearing he had been searching for comedy pranks using gunge and cream pies.
