PUPILS from Newsome High wound up the school year with their 17th annual activity week.

Year seven pupils visited Buckingham Palace, Hamley’s and other London tourist hotspots. Year eight camped in the Lake District and took part in sailing, canoeing and pony trekking.

Year nine travelled to France to sample the French way of life and improve their language skills.

For those unable to travel far, trips to the Thackray Medical Museum, Leeds, and sports, music and science lessons were on offer.
