SAINSBURY’S store customers in Shorehead, Market Street and Salendine Nook have helped provide a range of equipment and activities to children.
They have been taking part in the Active Kids scheme, which gives customers the chance to collect vouchers and donate to a local registered organisation of their choice.
One of the 2012 star collecting organisations in the stores’ local education authority area is the Newsome South Pre-School where children and teachers have collected a massive 7,369 Active Kids vouchers this year.
Sainsbury’s Active Kids scheme has donated £750,039 worth of equipment in the area since 2005.
