A RECRUITMENT drive is under way to find budding publicans keen to run their own pub businesses.

Admiral Taverns, which has about 1,100 pubs is seeking tenants for a number of pubs in West Yorkshire – including The Queen in Milnsbridge.

The group is staging an open day from noon to 6pm next Tuesday at the Quarry Gap pub, 250 Dick Lane, Tyersal, Bradford.

Anyone is welcome to go along to find out more about being an Admiral licensee.

Previous experience of the pub trade isn’t necessary as the group has special training programmes to help new entrants to the pub trade.

Suzanne Smith, head of licensee recruitment and training at Admiral Taverns, said: “We are very excited to be coming to Bradford to meet potential pub tenants.

“We’re looking for inspirational individuals who want the freedom and flexibility that comes with running their own business.

“They don’t need to have run a pub before, but they do need buckets of enthusiasm, an enterprising outlook and a will to succeed.”
