A HUDDERSFIELD group is offering advice to help people get the benefits they are entitled to.

The Harriet Tubman Development Agency, which helps people with disabilities, is hosting a physical and financial health day on February 21.

The event will be held at the Hudawi Cultural Centre on Great Northern Street from 10am to 3.30pm.

The agency aims to make people aware of the benefits they are entitled to and help them get the money.

The benefits include pension credits, disability living allowance, carers' allowance, council tax benefit and housing benefit.

As well as public events, the agency runs home visits, surgeries and outreach sessions targeted at hard to reach ethnic minority groups.

It helps people with forms and can refer them to other agencies that could help.
