A CHARITY shop is appealing for more volunteers following a national name change.
Age UK needs more helpers at its shop at Kirkgate in Huddersfield town centre – as well as donations of goods to sell.
The shop was Help the Aged until the charity merged with Age Concern to form Age UK earlier this year.
Shop manager Gillian Kilner said: “At present, we have just two volunteers.
“It would be nice to have some more help, perhaps from people who are retired or out of work who are able to give a few hours a day.
“It is mainly till work and pricing items, and training is given.”
In addition, the store is on the look-out for good quality stock to sell – particularly bric-a-brac, clothes and children’s toys.
