An aid convoy has left Kirklees to aid refugees stranded in Europe.
The lorry loaded with clothing, food and household goods left Batley on Thursday night bound for France.
The aid has been collected in Batley after an appeal by Rabetah, the support group representing Muslim groups in the region.
They have been working with volunteers from across other parts of the UK to co-ordinate an appeal.
Rabetah spokesman Maqsoo Motala said: “Over the last two weeks volunteers have been busy collecting essential supplies for the unfortunate refugees in Europe.
“Now our drivers are on their way to deliver much-needed aid to the refugees in Europe”.
The initiative was supported by the Kirklees Faith Forum and the relief charity One Nation.
