THE Yorkshire Air Ambulance has received a £1,200 boost, thanks to a golf club.
The money was raised over the past year through social events and an auction at the Meltham club at Thick Hollins.
The air ambulance was the chosen charity of outgoing club captain Chris Breslin.
He said his wife Jane suggested the charity because she is a horse rider and knows a few people who have needed the helicopter after accidents. He added: “We’ve also had it land here after an accident on the course.”
Every year the club captain and lady captain choose a charity to benefit from the club’s social events.
