A 19-YEAR-OLD man was being questioned by detectives today in connection with the death of Michael Howard, who was run over while trying to stop a thief stealing his car at an airport.

The teenager, from the Woolton area of Liverpool, was arrested at about 9pm yesterday, Merseyside police said.

Mr Howard, 57, was trapped under this silver Volvo estate at Liverpool John Lennon airport at 5.35am yesterday.

His wife Elaine, who had got out of their car to fetch a trolley, watched ithe tragedy unfolded.

Mr and Mrs Howard, from Preston, had been due to fly to Malaga at 6.40am.
