A 49-YEAR-OLD Almondbury man will have to register as a sex offender with the police after he admitted sex offences involving a teenage boy.

Robin Jones, of Town End, appeared before a judge at Bradford Crown Court yesterday and pleaded guilty to three charges of sexual activity with the 14-year-old boy.

Jones also admitted a further allegation of meeting the youngster following sexual grooming.

All the offences date back to last November, but the full details were not disclosed during yesterday’s brief hearing before Judge David Hatton QC.

The judge told Jones that he would have to sign on the sex offender register as a result of his guilty pleas and notify the police of his whereabouts.

He granted Jones bail until December 14 so a pre-sentence report could be prepared about him.
