AMBULANCE bosses are urging people to use the 999 service wisely.
West Yorkshire ambulance service chief Andrew Cratchley says the service expects its call numbers to go up in the sub- zero temperatures.
He added: "We have put our severe weather plans into place.
"But it's still vital that people use our service appropriately.
"If we only have to attend real emergencies then our ambulances will get there faster."
