LITTLE Annabell Crossley collected an early Christmas present yesterday - our Examiner Baby of the Year trophy.

Eleven-month-old Annabell, who lives with mum Rachel in Fanny Moor Lane, Lowerhouses, came top out of 596 entrants.

She was at the Kingsgate Centre with the runners-up to collect her award from Examiner editor Roy Wright.

Thai Flemming, aged 19 months, came second.

The tot, who lives in Manchester Road, Linthwaite, collected his prize with mum Jodie Lockwood. Third place in the contest went to 15-month-old Lilie Walsh, who lives with mum Lisa Box in Berry Brow.
