A man’s body was found in the River Calder in Dewsbury at 11.37am.
It’s the fourth waterways tragedy in a month — a body was pulled from the Rover Calder on Good Friday, a Huddersfield teenager was found dead in the Huddersfield Broad Canal at Hillhouse, and a 77-year-old man died despite being rescued from the Calder and Hebble Navigation Canal at Thornhill Lees.
It is believed the man had been living in a purple tent.

Fourth waterways tragedy in Kirklees in a month
The grim news comes just six days after the body of a man was recovered from the River Calder at Mirfield.
He was found in the river close to the John Cottons factory in Mirfield.
And earlier this month, the canals in the area claimed two lives.

Police were called to Dewsbury about 12noon and sent a number of units to the scene, which is close to the railway line.

Police cars and ambulances are at the scene on a playing fields complex off Mill Street East, close to the centre of Dewsbury.
