PEOPLE from Huddersfield may have seen a serious road accident.

A motorcyclist suffered severe arm injuries in the crash on Holmfirth Road in Oldham at 2.40pm on Sunday.

Police have appealed for witnesses, including anyone who may have been travelling on the road back to Holmfirth.

The biker, a 45-year-old Rochdale man, was in an accident with a white Citroen Relay van travelling in the same direction.

The Yamaha bike then hit a wall, throwing the rider from the machine.

He was taken to Tameside General Hospital in Ashton under Lyne with multiple arm and hand fractures and minor internal injuries.

The van driver was unhurt.
