POLICE are trying to identity a man who died after being hit by a train from Huddersfield to Leeds.
They are appealing for information about him. The man, thought to be in his mid- 20s, was struck by the train at Wortley Road bridge, near Bramley railway station on Friday evening.
Sgt Saeed Ahmad, of the British Transport Police, said: "We are making extensive inquiries to identify the victim and we appeal to the public."
Police said they were not treating the death as suspicious. The train was travelling from Huddersfield to Leeds when the incident happened.
