A man suspected of firing a gun in Huddersfield was arrested after being followed by armed police to Dewsbury.
A 31-year-old suspect was detained after running from a vehicle near the junction of Headfield Road and Lock Street, Dewsbury.
The arrest related to the firing of a gun, on Moor End Road, Crosland Moor, at around 5pm .
The incident involved five armed police units and the West Yorkshire Police helicopter. A 31-year-old man remains in custody.
A police spokesperson said: “There was an incident in the Huddersfield area where the suspect from that incident made his way to the Headfield Road area of Dewsbury where armed response officers have been deployed and have detained the suspect.”
