A FIREWORK was attached to a brick and thrown through a car window.
Firefighters and police are investigating after the BMW car was targeted on Fartown Green Road, Fartown, at 8.45pm on Bonfire Night.
Huddersfield firefighters were called to put the flames out and police were also called to investigate.
A police spokeswoman said: “This is being treated as arson and enquiries are ongoing at this stage.”
Police closed part of the road off while investigations took place.
