CHILDREN up to the age of 14 are invited to design a poster for National Food Safety Week.
Kirklees Council's environmental services is organising the competition to spread the message that food should always be hygienically and safely prepared.
The competition is for two age groups - up to 9 years and 10 to 14 years.
The two winners will each receive a framed copy of their poster and an art pack worth £30.
Winning posters will be professionally printed and sent for display at council information points, libraries, leisure centres and pay offices.
The posters should illustrate one of ten top tips to help avoid common causes of food-related illnesses.
Advice includes storing food at correct temperatures and keeping hands and equipment clean.
The closing date for entries is June 21.
Entries should be marked Poster Competition and posted to Kirklees Environmental Services, West Riding House, 9, Manchester Road, Huddersfield HD1 3HH.
