YOUNG people are displaying their photography and drawing this week.

A group of 10 pupils from Westborough High School have been working with artist Amy Hirst at the West Yorkshire Print Workshop in Mirfield.

During the eight-week project, the young people from Year 10 learned how to plan, curate and market their exhibition.

Amy said: “The exciting thing about this project is that the pupils are designing an exhibition themselves.

“It’s a great opportunity for them to develop skills that can be applied to the world of work.

“I’m sure the students feel a great sense of achievement.”

The exhibition opened yesterday at the workshop at Huddersfield Road.

It will be open to the public from 10.30am to 6pm today and tomorrow and from Tuesday to Thursday next week.
