DARREN Baker, of Meltham, is taking part this weekend in the largest artists' fair in the UK.

The Battersea Contemporary Art Fair will take place from Saturday until Monday at London's Battersea Arts Centre, in Lavender Hill.

Darren is among over 150 painters, sculptors, printmakers and photographers who will sell directly to the public with no commission payable to dealers or galleries.

Around 3,500 people are expected to visit the fair, which gives art lovers the chance to buy directly from both new and established artists.

Artists from South Africa, America, France and Belgium, as well as the UK, have already expressed an interest. Established over 13 years ago, the fair now runs twice a year, in May and November, at Battersea Arts Centre, an English Heritage site and registered charity.
