SHY, retiring types need not apply for the latest vacancies at Huddersfield University.

Life models are needed for young artists and designers in the fine arts school.

Applicants will pose either clothed or nude for anything between seconds and several hours.

And course leader Steve Swindells has revealed that models who do not conform to traditional model stereotypes are more than welcome to apply.

“In the past we have had models from all walks of life, some former students or others have been professional models wanting to earn a bit more money.

“But we welcome people of all shapes and sizes and those who do not conform usually make the best models.

“We wish to recruit a diverse group of life models to support our life drawing class.”

Clothed interviews are being held on October 15 after a closing date for applications of September 26.

The role pays £12,710 to £13,739 pro rata for various hours and weeks.

Previously models were paid on a casual basis.
