CRAFTY plans for a Marsden attraction were unveiled as it reopened after the winter break.

As Standedge Tunnel and Visitor Centre welcomed its first visitors of the year it was revealed that a season of arts and crafts is in store.

Around 30 special events are planned throughout the year.

This kicked off with an opening weekend craft fair and will be followed by a variety of Easter activities.

Other returning favourites will include a falconry day, Artsfest and a St George’s legging event.

New for this year is The Creative Hub@Standedge Loft Space, which is within the grade II listed visitor centre warehouse.

It offers designer-makers the chance to book a workspace for the day.

Throughout the year the loft space will also feature a range of creative workshops which visitors can join in.
