HONLEY High School is celebrating receiving an Artsmark Silver Award.

The award is from the Arts Council of Great Britain for excellence in art, drama and music teaching.

Duncan Train, curriculum area leader for creative arts, is pictured with the award.

He said current projects in school included the school pantomime Robin Hood - Men in Tights; year 11 children working on Holocaust imagery with artists-in-residence; and young musicians from the school taking part in the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival.
