OUTSPOKEN local Asian Christian group leader Yaqub Masih has been invited to give his views to the Home Office.
Mr Masih is general secretary of the UK Asian Christian Fellowship and advisor to the Bishop of Wakefield.
He has made clear the need to raise his community's awareness and fiercely campaigned for the defeat of the Religious Hatred Bill in the Commons last month.
His invitation to talk to the Home Office on the Asian Christian community, comes following his recent criticism at a function in the House of Lords, that his community was being ignored by the Government.
At the party held in the House last month, attended by Lords, Bishops, MPs and the Home Office Minister, Mr Masih slammed the Government for suppressing Christian values.
He said: "In India and Pakistan we are in the minority, but in this country we are a minority within minorities.
"We have little values there, and we have no values here- that's why we never get invited to the Government functions or at any consultations."
