A PUB could be turned into student flats.
The New Wharf on the corner of Firth Street and Wakefield Road was sold by Enterprise Inns in March.
But work is already taking place to strip it out. Marshalls builders in Elland are carrying out the work.
John Marshall said: “The idea is going to be to turn it into student accommodation with a fast-food outlet on the ground floor and accommodation above.”
An application will be submitted to Kirklees Council for the proposal within the next two to three weeks.
