AN ATTACK victim has appeared in court accused of assaulting two nurses as they tried to treat him.

Sean Langshaw, of Old Brook Fold, Almondbury Bank, was before Huddersfield magistrates yesterday.

The 41-year-old is charged with beating Lindsey Dodson and Sian Dawson at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary on July 3.

Carole Lawford, prosecuting, told magistrates that Langshaw was taken to the hospital by ambulance after he was assaulted in the town centre.

He had hit his head when he fell and had to have a CT scan to check for significant injuries.

However he became aggressive and had to be sedated so that his arm could be injected for the scan.

When staff tried to wake him afterwards, Langshaw pushed the two nurses causing them injuries.

He was then Tasered by police and arrested.

Langshaw denied that charge, claiming he had no recollection of the incident.

His case was adjourned to obtain expert medical evidence.

Langshaw was granted conditional bail until his next appearance before the court on November 15.

His bail condition is that he does not enter the A&E department at the hospital unless he needs medical treatment.
