A YOUNG author is to release her second novel following the success of her first bestseller.

Rebecca Lee Royle, 25, from Dewsbury, will release ghost tale Eleven Terrible Months on her Dog Horn label on October 27.

The story of a family who flee a haunted Leeds council flat follows Royle’s 2006 critically acclaimed novel Lucy’s Monster, a story of schizophrenia, drugs and violence.

Rebecca, pictured with her new book, says: “I’m very excited about its release. I’ve been wanting to write a realistic ghost story to fill a gap in the horror market since I was 10 years old.

“To finally have written it and know that people will be reading it before the year is out is a brilliant feeling.

“Although my work has been well received, I am still by no means a big name in the world of writing.

“But for me, just to have my work out there is enough to make me happy.”

Rebecca is writing a third novel about an aeroplane crash.
