SOME 170 students from Huddersfield Technical College celebrated their achievements in a special award ceremony at Huddersfield Town Hall last night.
The ceremony was to reward outstanding individuals and groups of learners.
They received certificates and prizes in recognition of their success.
Chris Sadler, principal at Huddersfield Technical College said: "Many of our most talented and committed students have overcome difficult circumstances in order to achieve.
"With the help of their tutors they have benefited by acquiring new skills, increased self confidence and the enjoyment of learning with a new group of friends."
Guests were entertained by singing and dancing by the College's performing arts students and with Arabic dance by Adult Education students.
