A BABY boom at a Huddersfield supermarket saw three new arrivals delivered on the same day.
The three babies were born to four members of staff at Morrisons in Penistone Road, Waterloo.
And one of the staff, Jonny Beech, 33, has been the butt of jokes over his job title – oven fresh supervisor!
Jonny and partner Kim Edwards, 27, who works in the petrol station, had a son Lennon.
“Yes, I’ve heard all the jokes about having a bun in the oven,” grinned Jonny.
As well as Jonny and Kim, colleagues Adam Bowmer, 29, a bakery assistant, and grocery manager Andy Mellor, 25, also shared the big day – Thursday May 9.
Adam’s partner Samantha Boustead gave birth to Dominic Lee while Andy and partner Kirsty Pogson are proud parents to Isla Grace.
For Jonny, who has a son Dylan, four, and Kim, who has a daughter Ellissia Mae Rose , also four, Lennon is their first child together.
Jonny, who lives in Dalton, told how Lennon arrived very quickly.
“Kim’s contractions started at 2.30am and Lennon was born at 5.15am. He’s a lovely baby.
“When I found out about the other babies being born on the same day I was amazed,” he added.
“Lennon was a week late and both the others were too.”
